On more than 1,000 acres, the dog-friendly Paul M. Grist State Park in Selma, AL, provides a serene retreat. The Alabama Black Belt Birding Trail includes a stop at Paul M. Grist. Waterfowl, songbirds, raptors, and both migrant and resident species are all likely to be seen in the park. White-tailed deer, Eastern wild turkey, and a variety of amphibians and reptiles are among the other animals you might observe. Most portions of the park allow dogs as long as they are leashed. For safety concerns, several bike and equestrian riding trails do not allow dogs. In stores, food service areas, bathhouses, pools, and swimming areas, dogs are not permitted.Dogs must not be left unattended, and if left in a heated car, they will be confiscated.

Sun Stop Paw Park is a great spot for your pets to get some exercise. This fenced-in dog-friendly recreation space is located adjacent to a gas station and allows your dog to roam freely after a car ride. Outside the park, remember to keep your dog on a leash, clean up any mess they make, and remember that the park is not liable for their loss or damage. The park is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Albertville's Sand Mountain Park and Amphitheater Dog Park is a pet-friendly recreation area. With 16 tennis courts, 14 outdoor turf fields, a 7,500-seat amphitheater, an 8-lane indoor competition pool, an outdoor water park, playgrounds, an RV park, and a 103,000-square-foot community recreation center, this complex is a sports, leisure, wellness, and entertainment venue. A walled dog park divided into two areas, one for large dogs and the other for tiny dogs, is the focus. Remember to clear up any trash that has been left in the park. Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Petzooie is welcome to join you, on-leash, at the primitive campgrounds, playground, and Fossil Mountain Hiking Trail, constructed along the 260-million-year-old mountain formations, at Rickwood Caverns State Park near Warrior, AL. Please note that dogs are not permitted in the pools, caverns, or any other structures. Dogs must never be left unattended, and if they are left in a hot car, they will be confiscated.
67. Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail
Pets are welcome on the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail. This route, located near Gulf Coast in Gulf State Park, will take you and your dog on a 15-mile excursion across six different ecosystems. Longleaf sand ridges, oak maritime forest, dunes, pine flatwoods, freshwater marshes, and coastal hardwood swamps make up the diversified landscape. Because wildlife such as snakes and alligators can be spotted on the trail, leashed dogs must be kept close by.
