West Plains Animal Control

To rescue and care for harmed, unwanted, abandoned, and mistreated animals, the West Plains Regional Animal Shelter was established. Membership dues, bequests, gifts, annual fund-raising activities, and revenues from the shelter's thrift shop, "West Plains Regional Animal Shelter Thrift Shop," will be the only sources of funding for the facility.

The non-profit, tax-exempt West Plains Regional Animal Shelter is based in West Plains, Missouri. founded with the intention of rescuing and caring for harmed, unloved, and abandoned animals.

The Dent County Animal Welfare Society was founded in an area where there was little being done to assist stray dogs and cats. Early in 1990, the State Charter and Incorporation were formed.

Animal welfare is a top priority for our incredible team of volunteers. We act on our convictions after reflecting on them.

The Taney County Commission oversees the Taney County Animal Control facility. In the county's unincorporated sections, an animal control officer responds to dog complaints.

Thank you for visiting the Waynesville Animal Shelter. We are not currently set up to handle any animals besides dogs. We are constantly looking for help to run the animal shelter.
