Animals who are saved will undergo a thorough medical examination by a vet. Additionally, animals will receive all necessary vaccinations, get spayed or neutered, and then be available for adoption. People who are interested in adopting must complete the relevant papers and meet the animal.

The 1984-founded Vashon Island Pet Protectors organization works tirelessly to enhance the standard of living for pets on the island. Vashon Island Pet Protectors, sometimes known as "VIPP," is a no-kill, nonprofit 501c3 animal rescue group staffed by caring and animal-loving volunteers. On Vashon Island, VIPP provides the best resource for connecting humans and animals in a variety of ways.
