Ukiah Animal Shelter

DAP (Domestic Animal Protection), the predecessor to The Humane Society for Inland Mendocino County, was established in the early 1980s. Its main goal was to raise money for services and information related to spay/neuter procedures. An continuous rummage sale, bake sale, and other fundraising activities also contributed to the funding.a

Our goal is to set an excellent example for others.  When people value animals highly is acknowledged as a crucial component of the planet's life.

The Humane Society of Sonoma County has been a sanctuary for animals serving our community since 1931 and is sponsored by donations. We're committed to establishing loving relationships between humans and their companion animals. We provide medical care (including spay/neuter surgery), training services, and adoption support for the animals in our care.

The Humane Society of Sonoma County, a no-kill shelter founded in 1931, is situated at 5345 Highway 12 West in Santa Rosa, close to Sebastopol. At 555 Westside Road, we inaugurated our Healdsburg Shelter in 2016. Our goal is to provide every animal with protection, empathy, love, and care.

rescuing these abandoned and abused animals who have been found wandering around our streets and roads. Our funding helps them find safe, devoted, and long-term homes as well as medical attention.

We are a multi-purpose organization that promotes animal welfare; we offer dog training courses in the hopes of educating pet owners on fundamental dog training to help prevent animal surrender and promote lifetime commitments from owners to their pets.
