Tarboro Animal Shelter

In the fall of 2006, SandHill Beagles Rescue began operations. The rescue is a North Carolina non-profit as well as a federal 501(c)(3) organization. The rescue's goals are to treat animals humanely and assist in finding them homes that are secure and caring.

The goal of the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina is to provide a safe sanctuary for abandoned and homeless animals while also acting as a community resource.

The Nash County Animal Shelter often reunites pets with their families and works to find homes for animals.

Animals turned in by owners and strays are housed at the Animal Enforcement Division of the Martin County Sheriff's Office where they can either be adopted out or put to death.

Pitt County Animal Services' main goals are to protect public health and safety by encouraging citizen education on appropriate pet ownership, to safeguard animals in our community from cruelty and neglect, and to shelter, care for, place, or find humane solutions for animals under its care.
