Al-Van Humane Society Intake Center

The Allegan and Van Buren Humane Societies rehomes companion animals that can no longer live with their families, provides food and shelter to approximately 600 animals each year from both counties, and educates the public on kind and ethical pet keeping.

The goal of Wishbone Pet Rescue Alliance is to provide permanent, loving homes for animals who are in need while also reducing their pain and suffering by giving them refuge and veterinary care.

By safeguarding and providing for the population of Berrien County, we work to maintain the highest possible standard of living for both people and animals. Promoting pet stewardship by spaying and neutering companion animals while upholding state and local laws.

We are committed to saving stray, abandoned, and homeless animals who are up for adoption. Since its founding in February 2005, AFL has provided an alternative to animal control facilities by relocating animals into foster homes until they can be adopted into devoted, long-term homes.

Our goal is to significantly reduce the fast expanding feral cat population while simultaneously rescue as many cats as possible from pain and suffering in these overcrowded feral cat colonies.
