Dedicated to lowering the overabundance of unwanted pets, Biggie Paws Rescue (BPR) is a foster-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization that serves Central and Southeastern Wisconsin and Northeastern Illinois.

With the goal of supporting and protecting pets and communities throughout Marion County, Marion County Dog Services runs the county's dog shelter in Salem.

The non-profit Oregon Humane Society (OHS) offers pet adoption services, houses abandoned or homeless cats and dogs, educates the public on responsible pet ownership, behavior, and training, and helps to control pet overpopulation through its accessible Spay and Neuter Clinic.

We respond to reports of animal abuse, neglect, and abandonment as well as hoarding situations. Cases involve agricultural animals and companion animals, not nature (ODNR).

The Salem Animal Rescue League (SARL) gives safe haven, compassionate care, and new, long-term homes to abandoned, mistreated, and injured animals in order to save their lives.
