The HSCC Animal Resource Complex

We respond to reports of animal abuse, neglect, and abandonment as well as hoarding situations. Cases involve agricultural animals and companion animals, not nature (ODNR).

A county animal control facility, we are. We adore dogs and do everything we can to find these fur children loving new homes.

Diane Less and Polly Wardle planted the idea for Angels for Animals. It began as a conversation about barn cats while trail riding on the backs of horses.

The only humane society in Mahoning County is Animal Charity, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a veterinary facility.

Our ideals motivate us to aid the underdogs, the neglected dogs, the ones who require additional care and training, and the ones who must rediscover trust.

West Side Cats originally opened its doors in 2008. We are a non-profit, no-kill rescue and adoption center in Youngstown, Ohio, that was established by people who no longer wished to volunteer for kill shelters.
