Western Lane County's needs for animal care are met by the no-kill Oregon Coast Humane Society, which is situated in Florence, Oregon. We are devoted to helping mistreated and homeless companion animals in our community and are made up of volunteers and a committed professional staff. We also work to raise awareness of issues involving animals, such as abuse and pet overpopulation.

Friends of Coos County Animals (FOCCAS) is a dog and cat rescue with 501c3 FOSTER status. FOCCAS also assists low-income families with spaying and neutering their pets.

Our goal is to make Douglas County a more humane place by offering companion animals who are homeless a temporary haven, essential veterinary treatment, and a route home. We are the only full-service open-admission animal shelter in the county, offering food, shelter, and medical care to countless animals every year.
