By upholding Oregon Laws, we ensure the public's safety and the care of animals. Animal Control action is frequently required to mediate a resolution, enforce the legislation, or look into dog-related damage or aggressiveness allegations.

We operate a no-kill shelter.

Western Lane County's needs for animal care are met by the no-kill Oregon Coast Humane Society, which is situated in Florence, Oregon. We are devoted to helping mistreated and homeless companion animals in our community and are made up of volunteers and a committed professional staff. We also work to raise awareness of issues involving animals, such as abuse and pet overpopulation.

In Douglas County, Oregon, Saving Grace, Inc. is a 501(c)3 private, non-profit organization devoted to providing immediate care for stray, neglected, or abandoned animals. Our goal is to make Douglas County a more humane place by offering companion animals who are homeless a temporary haven, essential veterinary treatment, and a route home. We are the only full-service open-admission animal shelter in the county, offering food, shelter, and medical care to countless animals every year.

We are also a no-kill organization, which means that no animals are ever euthanized because they are homeless or have behavioral issues. We only euthanize if the animal is suffering from major health problems that are untreatable.
