In Carneys Point, New Jersey, there is a no-kill shelter for stray dogs and cats called the Salem County Humane Society. Being a no kill shelter, we make every effort to find homes for the animals, but for the dogs and cats who are unable to find a new family, they stay at the shelter forever and view all the volunteers as their family.
