The Geauga County Dog Wardens are in charge of collecting stray dogs and handling dog complaints. Once the dogs are in the shelter, we take care of them until their owners come to get them or we find them a new forever home.

Secondhand Mutts was started in 2006 and ran as a grassroots community organization until becoming a recognized nonprofit in 2009. It was inspired by one dog left and tied to the door at the founders' canine socialization center.
