The Wood County Humane Society's mission is to be a leader in the community by offering products and services that improve the bond between people and animals through advocacy, instruction, and animal care.

The goal when creating Tabby Tails was to provide a safety net for cats at risk. These cats are more likely to be put to death in the shelter system. This applies to both feral and crippled cats.

Through our life-saving programs and services, we provide care for nearly 5,000 animals annually. Serving the Toledo region since 1884, the Toledo Humane Society is the oldest animal welfare organization in the state.

A tiny private 501(c)(3) non-profit animal sanctuary for dogs and cats, TEDDY'S RESCUE, INC. is situated in Findlay, Ohio. We do not get any financial support from federal, state, or local money; instead, we are solely dependent on individual donations.
