The Cathy Kangas Foundation for Animals is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the goal of giving voice to those without one by ensuring that all animals, especially those in animal shelters, are protected and appreciated.

Founded in 1962, PAWS is a no-kill animal refuge. Early years saw all animals being fostered in homes before gradually transitioning to housing in veterinary clinics where it was simpler for prospective adopters to meet them.

We want to decrease the number of wild cats while also helping abandoned and adoptable kittens find loving homes. Every money donated goes directly into the upkeep and support of the cats, on which we solely rely.

Dogs were housed by Basil Burt, Wilton's dog warden at the time; Animals In Distress was created as a compassionate charity to care for all animals in need. Members of the organization nurtured cats and other animals.
