Rockcastle Animal Shelter

Animal control and county animal shelter functions are performed by the Garrard County Animal Shelter.

We provide a No Kill Mission to make sure that adoptable animals find a Forever Home. No Kill Central is a 501c3 non profit NO KILL animal sanctuary.

The only sanctuary for animals in need in our town has been the Lincoln County Animal Shelter for more than 60 years. Our vision is to serve as a leading example of an animal shelter in small, rural communities.

We make an effort to assist our neighborhood's pet owners by providing food and shelter. We accept stray, abandoned, and unwanted animals. After that, we evaluate them and find them a better life and home.

We are a 501(c)(3) local non-profit serving our community. Our organization is managed solely by volunteers, under the direction of a Board of Directors. At our Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic, we have a contract with a vet and a vet tech to help us with our purpose.
