A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization called Lulu's Locker Rescue works to dispel myths about FIV cats as well as the plight of black cats, dogs, and senior/hospice animals housed in shelters.

Most animal shelters in and around the state of Illinois, including P.A.W.S. Animal Shelter of Tinley Park, are overburdened with the number of abandoned and stray dogs and cats.

Through its collaboration with Pets for Patriots, Homewood Adoption Center provides dog and cat adoptions to veterans. Both locations are available for adoption to veterans in our program, and both are managed by South Suburban Humane Society.

A 501c3 no-kill humane society, NAWS' mission is to transform the field of animal welfare. We need to find other solutions to the problem of companion animal overpopulation and suffering until there are appropriate federal and state regulations.
