Jessamine Humane Society

The Garrard County Animal Control protects the county's and the city of Lancaster's public health and safety, ensures the treatment of animals humanely, and offers the general public high-quality, professional service.

We provide a No Kill Mission to make sure that adoptable animals find a Forever Home. No Kill Central is a 501c3 non profit NO KILL animal sanctuary.

Animal control and county animal shelter functions are performed by the Garrard County Animal Shelter.

The primary objective is to assist people in finding local animal shelters where they can adopt a pet in need of a forever home.

The DBCHS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that was established in 1972 to aid Boyle County's numerous abandoned and unwanted domestic animals.

The only sanctuary for animals in need in our town has been the Lincoln County Animal Shelter for more than 60 years. Our vision is to serve as a leading example of an animal shelter in small, rural communities.
