A non-profit animal welfare group called Friends of the Plymouth Pound (FPP) is committed to finding "forever homes" for rescued cats and dogs on the South Shore. The Friends, a nonprofit organization founded in 1984, and its devoted and compassionate volunteers have helped thousands of animals—both owned and stray—by offering assistance through the group's several initiatives, which include adoption, low-cost spay/neutering, and educational outreach.
