The Conroe Animal Shelter's volunteer, foster, transport, and rescue programs are coordinated by The Animal Shelter Volunteers of Texas (ASVT), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in 2010.

The Conroe Animal Shelter provides numerous reduced services for canines and felines.

Austin Brisco and a group of skilled wolf and dog rescuers established the Texas Wolfdog Project & Shelter in June 2013 after realizing the need for a facility where wolfdogs and other special-needs dogs could be rescued, treated, and then placed in suitable homes or sanctuaries based on their personalities. Austin's experience rescuing his own Wolfdog Timber, whose tale you can read here, served as the idea for starting Texas Wolfdog Project & Shelter.

We at MCAS are committed to mobilizing the minds, hands, and hearts of the neighborhood to support animals in Montgomery County. We are therefore committed to providing the animals in our shelter with humane, effective, and high-quality care.

We are a wolfdog sanctuary with a 501c3 status. We inform people on the facts of wolfdogs, how to properly care for them, what they need, and how to successfully confine one.

Our goal is to work with the community to promote responsible pet ownership, including the advantages of spaying and neutering to reduce overpopulation, to help lost pets find their owners, and to care for animals under our guardianship humanely while looking for them loving, compatible forever homes.
