We are a neighborhood non-profit run and staffed entirely by your neighbors. Based on what we think is best for them, we decide how to care for homeless, unloved, abandoned, and abused domestic animals. We are not associated with or funded by any larger organization that might have an impact on our choices or behavior.

The County Sheriff's Office ran this shelter until August 2011, when budget shortages made it necessary to permanently close the facility. Volunteers cleaned and painted extensively, added dog and cat cages, and built a sizable outside dog run to improve the living conditions for the animals. Along with daily cleaning, the volunteers give the animals exercise, grooming, and basic medical attention.
