Humane Society of Muhlenberg

We were established in 1966 and are a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. By delivering and putting into practice our vision statements, we work to fulfill our objective of guaranteeing the sensitive and humane treatment of all animals.

Off the Natcher Parkway, in Western Kentucky, between Owensboro and Bowling Green, is where you'll find the Ohio County Animal Shelter. Having once been a shelter with a very high kill rate, we are now working to continue reducing the number of animals put to sleep or who pass away from illnesses.

Our goal is to help dogs who are lost, abandoned, neglected, or abused around the US by giving them humane treatment. Adoptable dogs are placed in loving homes with caring owners.

Since 1897, a NO-KILL animal shelter has housed homeless animals that are available for adoption. We improve the lives of people and pets by saving the most vulnerable animals.

Southwest Kentucky, in the Pennyroyal region, is home to Christian County and Hopkinsville, the county seat. Hopkins and Muhlenberg Counties, Todd County, Trigg County, and Montgomery and Stewart Counties, all in Tennessee, form the county's northern, eastern, western, and southern borders, respectively.

At Max's Hope Pet Rescue, we firmly believe that while people may claim to "rescue," animals actually perform the rescue themselves. When you need it most, pets offer you their unconditional affection and unspoken support.
