Fairfield Animal Control

The Connecticut Humane Society is the top resource in the state for the welfare of companion animals, enhancing the lives of families and communities through adoption services, healthcare, awareness campaigns, and cruelty prevention.

When we brought Jessie up from a kill shelter in North Carolina in 2006, that was our first encounter with rescue. Since then, we have been rescuing dogs.

We advocate for the spaying and neutering of cats and dogs both locally and elsewhere, with a focus on Fairfield County, where we live.

Our mission is to provide assistance to people and animals in need. Our reach is extensive, and we always try to be helpful.

The Stratford Animal Control Facility's main function is to house stray animals that are found in the Town of Stratford. Owner-released animals are not accepted.

The Animal Control Department is in charge of upholding the animal-related state laws of Connecticut.
