Eufaula Animal Shelter

We are a charity that provides aid to animals in need. The county of Barbour and its environs are served by us.

The Humane Society of Barbour County, Alabama, is who we are (HSBC). Southeast Alabama is where we are situated. In 1994, Hank & Joy Bryan of Eufaula, Alabama, created HSBC. Joy Bryan thought that it is our duty to assist people who are unable to assist themselves. By taking care of the dogs and cats in Barbour County, we work hard every day to achieve that goal.

The goal of the volunteer organization C.H.A.R.M., Inc. is to save the lives of the canines at the Headland Animal Shelter. Until a suitable home is located, we take care of the dogs' daily requirements, including nutrition, healthcare, socialization, security, and general comfort.

A subsidiary of the Ozark Police Department, the Ozark Animal Shelter is committed to aggressively rescuing cats, dogs, and other animals, giving them high-quality treatment, and acting as a safe haven until adoptive homes can be located.

We are a no-kill animal shelter with private funding. We don't get any government funding or grants from the HSUS; we exclusively get funding from supporters. All of the animals in our care have undergone a thorough examination, which includes spaying or neutering, immunizations, illness tests (for heartworm and feline leukemia/HIV), a microchip, and any other necessary care.

An initiative by the County and City to house stray and abandoned animals is called the RCPCASA.
