Summit County Animal Control

Our goal is to locate each animal a loving home after protecting them and giving them a safe, nurturing environment where they may get healthy and learn positive skills. We also work to raise awareness of animal welfare in the local community.

We save a lot of the most vulnerable animals in our state and elsewhere, providing them with the love, care, training, food, socialization, and TLC they require until they are adopted permanently.

Our goal is to rescue and rehome shelter animals with the purpose of putting an end to animal homelessness and euthanasia. We encourage community action and compassion on their behalf through community collaborations, education, and adoption events.

Until a permanent home is found, we need people who can temporarily foster cats or dogs. If required, we offer food and medical care.

In shelters like the ones we have here in Utah, hundreds of thousands of lovable dogs and cats were put to death only because they had a secure place to call home.
