Clarksville Animal Shelter

Since 1997, Needy Paws Animal Shelter, a division of River Valley Humane Society, has offered refuge to ill, hurt, abandoned, and abused animals. We work hard to find healthy, adoptable pets loving, permanent homes as a proud no-kill shelter.

The mission of The Charleston Animal Group (The Charleston Dog Shelter) is to find each dog a permanent, loving home with responsible owners while upholding our no kill policy and providing temporary shelter to stray, abandoned, or surrendered dogs.

In the late 1980s, a group of local residents who were worried about the county's stray cats and dogs started a grassroots initiative to establish a shelter for abandoned pets.

A kennel run entirely by volunteers, Almost Home is committed to providing the dogs entrusted to our care with the love, care, and placement they deserve.

Our goal is to offer non-lethal solutions to Fort Smith, Arkansas's population of stray, abandoned, and wild animals. In order to achieve this, we will reunite animals with their owners, adopt out animals to new families, or move animals to various locations where they can be adopted.

Animal Services strives to ensure that a high percentage of animals are either adopted into loving families through our City Animal Shelter services or returned to their homes or natural settings.
