Buffalo Animal Shelter

Buffalo, New York-based Awesome Paws Rescue is an all-breed foster-based dog rescue organization with a mission to save shelter dogs from being put to death due to overcrowding.

Whether they are abused, hungry, neglected, starved to death, abandoned, hurt, or unloved, we pledge to change the lives of all animals in Erie County, New York, and beyond.

Animals in need can turn to the SPCA Serving Erie County when they have nowhere else to turn. We cordially encourage you to find out more about our group and how you can contribute to the elimination of animal abuse.

Buffalo C.A.R.E.S. Animal Rescue is a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) non-profit group devoted to saving animals in the United States, among other things.

Our goal is to encourage and support spay/neuter, provide community outreach to assure good animal stewardship, and advocate logical and efficient animal care and control regulations at all levels of government in order to promote and protect the health, safety, and welfare of pets and people.
