Elmbrook Humane Society

The goal of WAAGR goes beyond only finding new homes for displaced Golden Retrievers and Golden Retriever hybrids. We give these lovely, lovable, and altruistic creatures second opportunities and sparkling new starts.

The Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) is an open-admission, no-kill organization committed to fostering a closer bond between people and animals through adoptions and community outreach.

Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin are served by the non-profit 501(c)3 Labrador Education and Rescue Network (L.E.A.R.N. ), which is run entirely by volunteers. Foster homes and volunteers form a network that communicates over the Internet and at L.E.A.R.N. activities. There isn't an adoption facility at L.E.A.R.N. From young to old, we accept and foster Labradors of ALL ages (rarely puppies). None of us are breeders.

Approximately 710,000 strays who enter shelters are reunited with their owners. Only 90,000 of them are cats, and 620,000 of them are dogs.

Our non-profit organization runs on a foster and volunteer basis with an emphasis on dogs who are at risk of being put down due to being housed in high-kill shelters, overcrowding, abuse and neglect, or owner surrender.

Doodle's Ranch and Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 organization that works to save and enhance the lives of cats with special needs. We believe that every cat should have the opportunity to live a full, happy, and healthy life, thus we take on the roles of their advocate, voice, and safety. Doodle's Ranch is more than just a sanctuary; it is a philosophy and way of life.
