The Humane Society of Fairfax County, Inc.'s objective is to advance humane education, stop all forms of animal abuse, both domestic and wild, by all legal means, and help the local community with any issues involving the welfare of animals.

The 501(c)(3) nonprofit fundraising partner of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter is called Friends of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter (Friends) (Shelter). Numerous animal-loving donors and volunteers help Friends meet critical needs that go above and beyond what the Shelter's budget can provide. The Fauquier SPCA is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to giving stray, homeless, and abandoned animals a temporary haven and, wherever possible, placing such animals in a loving, suitable home. Our aim also includes educating the public about the advantages of spaying and neutering pets.

Over the course of our 20 years in business, A Forever Home Rescue Foundation has saved countless numbers of mistreated, neglected, abandoned, and unwanted puppies and dogs.
