Watauga Humane Society

The Ashe Humane Society seeks to improve responsible pet ownership and decrease the pet population through programs and methods that support the welfare of companion animals in the neighborhood.

501c3 non-profit charitable organization, Avery Humane Society. Our goal is to meet the needs of animals in Avery County in a humane manner.

The adoption cost for all dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens is $75.00 at Caldwell County Animal Control.

The Humane Society of Wilkes is a volunteer-run, autonomous 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to lessen the number of companion animals that are abandoned, unwanted, and mistreated in Wilkes County, North Carolina.

A stray animal must be kept by us for at least 72 hours. Many lost pets that are found without tags and are not adoptable are put to death. Each year, the Animal Shelter gets more than 6,000 impounds. It is impossible to find loving and caring homes for all of them.
