Markel Veterinary Hospital provides high-quality care at a low cost for pets of income-qualified families in the Greater Richmond region (Richmond City and the Counties of Hanover, Henrico, Chesterfield, Goochland, and Prince George).

Dr. Anthony O'Sullivan and Dr. Heather O'Sullivan, a husband and wife team of veterinarians, are in charge of running RIVER CITY VETERINARY HOSPITAL. The hospital was established on the principle that building a close relationship with patients helps to advance their health and wellbeing. In our family-friendly environment, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to fulfill the medical needs of your furry family members.

Our approach is straightforward: We exclusively perform outpatient surgeries and dental treatment. By omitting other veterinary services like checks, diagnostics, overnight hospitalization, etc., we lower our prices to the barest minimum.
