Truman Smith, DVM, founded Mesa Vista Veterinary Hospital as a traveling mixed practice in the spring of 1971. Twenty years of working with horses at racetracks has given us a unique interest in equine medicine and lameness. We offer a unique experience in equine reproduction and cooled and frozen semen breeding thanks to our 35 years of experience standing both Thoroughbred and quarter horse stallions. Small animals now make up 60% of our clinic, which has full medical and surgical skills.

We have 3 full-time doctors and 2 part-time doctors who provide a full range of veterinary services, including wellness care, surgery, diagnostics including in-house lab work and radiology, alternative medicine, and some exotics care.
