Dr. Rodney Vaughn was born and raised in Brookland, Arkansas. In 1983, he graduated from Brookland High School. He studied agriculture at Arkansas State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree. He graduated from Louisiana State University's veterinary school in 1993 with the Upjohn Award for Clinical Proficiency in Large Animals. He began his career in Collierville, Tennessee, where he worked for a year before returning to Jonesboro to open Vaughn Veterinary Service, a mobile business. Dr. Vaughn founded Hilltop Veterinary Hospital in Jonesboro in July 1998 and sold it in February 2015.

Pet Hill Pet Clinic is a full-service veterinary clinic dedicated solely to the health, treatment, and prevention of small animals.Dr. Mary Emerick, our practice's director, has been a licensed and practicing veterinarian since 1990. She is licensed to practice law in both Arkansas and Missouri. She's a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association, among other organizations.
