We routinely schedule appointments for 30 minutes or longer, if needed, for more complicated cases. It has been our tradition to have a comprehensive series of visits for puppies and kittens not only to assess their health and well-being but to train their owners in their lifelong care. GAVC is a full-service veterinary hospital that provides services for companion animals. It is situated in west Duluth, Minnesota, near the base of Spirit Mountain and only a short distance from the coasts of Lake Superior. We offer our clients sympathetic and perceptive guidance on how to care for their extended non-human family members. In order to help our clients give their pets the greatest care and a comfortable home, we collaborate with them and offer sound advice. The purpose of GAVC is to give all of our clients with high-quality veterinary care while remaining as ethical and fair as possible. We do this while staying within the parameters of our clients' desired outcomes and financial capabilities.

Our 2,600 square foot facility, formerly known as Affiliated Emergency Veterinary Service, opened in 2006 and covers a large area in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. A Shar Pei dog has a leg injury. We have a pharmacy, an operating room that is fully functional, an intensive care unit, and cutting-edge diagnostic tools like digital radiography and ultrasound.
