Hello! Fort Morgan Veterinary Facility is a four-veterinarian clinic located about 70 miles east of Denver in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Dogs, cats, cattle, horses, sheep, goats, and other exotics are among the animals for whom we provide routine and emergency services. We look forward to servicing you and your pets in the near future! A veterinarian is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist you with your urgent veterinary requirements!

Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic and Animal House Rescue & Grooming combined in January 2020 to form Animal Friends Alliance. They teamed up to increase our organization's community impact and provide more people and animals with access to our programs and services.

For cats and dogs, Animal Friends Alliance is a "restricted entry, adoption guarantee shelter." Due to space and budgetary constraints, we must limit the number of animals we accept, but we ensure that every animal we accept will remain with us until they find a good home. We are completely dedicated to finding the best possible ending for every cat and dog that comes to us, and we do everything we can to ensure that each one finds a loving home.

In 2002, the Flint Animal Cancer Center opened its doors. Dr. Stephen Withrow, a veterinary surgeon, and Dr. Ed Gillette, a radiation biologist and veterinarian from Colorado State University, laid the seeds of veterinary cancer therapy in the late 1970s. Veterinarians at the time were aware that animals may develop cancer. Because there were no modern diagnoses or therapies available, practitioners were forced to make a notation in the patient's medical record and wait for the outcome, which was usually always fatal. Drs. Withrow and Gillette believed that cancer could be treated in animals in the same way that it could be treated in people. They thought that spontaneously occurring malignancies in dogs, in particular, were similar to many cancers in humans, making dogs a useful model for studying the disease.

Dr. Altman is a native of Miami, Florida, who fell in love with Fort Collins while attending Colorado State University. She attended Veterinary School in Florida and graduated in 1999.She worked in Gresham, Oregon for three years after graduating before returning to Fort Collins in 2004 to purchase Animal Haven Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Altman's areas of expertise include pain management, preventative medicine, and weight loss.Dr. Altman is the proud owner of four dogs, two cats, two donkeys, two horses, and one turtle. She enjoys hiking with her dogs, photography, reading mystery books, working on her land, and horseback riding when she is not at the clinic.
