San Marin Animal Hospital was purchased by Bennett and Williams Veterinary Corporation in early May 2015. It is a friendship between two veterinarians that began in 2002. Dr. Jeff Williams met Dr. Erin Bennett while working as a technician for him at a southern Marin veterinary clinic. Bennett was inspired to become a veterinarian by Williams, as fate would have it. They eventually teamed up after all these years. Dr. Monica Ortiz and Dr. Polly James, fortunately, shared their vision and gladly agreed to join them at San Marin Animal Hospital!

In 1981, The Country Vet opened as a big and small animal practice. The practice shifted its concentration to small animal medicine in the late 1980s, gradually transitioning from the home it began in to the hospital it is today.

In addition to a distinctive pastoral atmosphere, our hospital is unusual in that we not only use the most up-to-date technology and equipment as diagnostic instruments, but we also provide a variety of alternative therapies and holistic approaches to complement standard Western medicine.
