Meadow Brook Animal Clinic is a full-service veterinary hospital for companion animals that has been serving clients in Birmingham, Alabama and the surrounding areas for more than 20 years. Since 1997, Double Oak Mountain Animal Hospital has been happily serving families in the Greater Birmingham area. Under the watchful management of seasoned Birmingham vets Dr. Jason Vargas and Dr. David Daniels, the hospital has undergone considerable remodeling and modernization since 2021. DOMAH has evolved into a modern, full-service veterinary hospital that provides a wide range of small animal care, innovative diagnostics, and surgery while maintaining our family-centered principles.

Dr. Grimes grew up in Anniston, Alabama, with a variety of pets ranging from cats to horses. She went to Auburn University and graduated from the Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. In 1984, she began practicing in Birmingham, Alabama, and in 1995, she purchased Altadena Valley Animal Clinic. Up until 2008, when Dr. Grimes expanded into the adjoining building, the clinic offered regular boarding for cats and dogs in addition to veterinary services. This development resulted in the addition of eight magnificent dog apartments, as well as a large new cat boarding area and cat playroom. Building long-term relationships with her customers, both human and animal, is something Dr. Grimes enjoys about her job as a veterinarian.
