When the time came for me to leave the nest, I made the decision to turn my passion for animals into a career by earning a bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of Illinois, which included a nutrition internship at the Nestle Purina Product Technology Center in St. Joseph, Missouri. I had the wonderful chance to observe and work with one of my instructors, a well-known dog trainer, at her training facility in central Illinois during my time in college to get further experience,
