Meadow Valley is a natural woodlands and meadows preserve of 90 acres. Meadow Valley Park was purchased in 1971 from the Smoeger Estate.

Pooch Park in Pullman is Whitman County's first and only off-leash dog park. The park is completely enclosed, with large and small dog portions. Large green fields, large trees, and shade structures make the park a delight for both dogs and people!

Pets are welcome in Historic Washington State Park. You are welcome to bring Petzooie to the state park's grounds, but they are not permitted inside any of the buildings on site, including the Blacksmith Shop, Weapons Museum, Print Museum, and a number of other 19th-century structures. James Bowie, Sam Houston, and Davy Crockett all famously passed through here on the Southwest Trail. During your stay, keep your pet on a leash.
