Worthington Glacier State Recreation Site is a popular stop along the Richardson Highway at Thompson Pass, 28 miles north of Valdez, which allows visitors to see a glacier. A paved trail goes from the parking area to a viewing platform just a short distance from the glacier's toe. The short but steep Glacier Ridge Trail is ideal for experienced hikers. There are also more trails and a picnic spot. This 113-acre park is open throughout the summer months.
