Over 40 miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails can be found at McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Trails in the park range in length from 0.5 to 15.3 miles and difficulty from simple to hard. The North Trail, at 3.1 miles, is ideal for those seeking for a short stroll. The Pemberton, at 15.3 miles, is ideal for those looking for a nice workout for themselves or their dogs. Unless otherwise noted, all paths are multi-use. Make sure you and Petzooie both have enough of water.

Wine lovers may spend a day with Petzooie at LDV Winery in Scottsdale, Arizona, enjoying a tour or tasting wines. LDV Winery makes their own wine from grapes produced in the foothills of the Chiricahua Mountains. Relax with Petzooie on the shaded patio with a selection of wines and cheeses from Wednesday through Sunday, and then take a quick tour through the on-site gallery, which features artwork by Arizona artists. For more experienced hikers, the Sunrise Peak Trail in Scottsdale, Arizona is an excellent option. It's a four-mile in-and-out trail with a 1,100-foot elevation difference. The trail is steep and rocky, and it is almost all upward, but once you reach the summit, you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the McDowell Mountains and the surrounding granite formations. Because of its difficulties, this trail is less busy than others in the area. The trailhead has free parking and a water fountain, but no restrooms. Make sure you have plenty of water for both you and Fido. All dogs must be kept on a leash.

16. Brown's Ranch Trailhead

Stop by the Brown's Ranch Trailhead in Scottsdale, Arizona, for over 176 miles of mapped, recognized, and maintained trails. From here, you may visit attractions such as Granite Mountain, Cholla Mountain, Brown's Mountain, and Cathedral Rock, as well as routes for all ability levels. There is a big parking lot with facilities and water near the trailhead, as well as interactive exhibits on the Preserve's history. 17. Marcus Landslide Trail

With only a 300 foot elevation rise, the path is just under four miles long, including an optional.7 mile loop. Come in the spring to see the blooming wildflowers. Because there is no shade and no water at the trailhead, bring lots of water for yourself and Petzooie. At all times, dogs must be leashed.

18. 5th Avenue Shops & Boutiques

The 5th Avenue Shops & Boutiques are a nice area to take your dog for a stroll and do some window shopping. There are over sixty small businesses, art galleries, and restaurants to explore, many of which have a southwestern motif. Dogs, Etc., a pet boutique in the retail complex, is worth a look. Please keep in mind that most of the establishments close at 5:00 p.m. because they are small companies. At all times, dogs must be leashed.

Mountain View Park in Scottsdale, Arizona, is a great place to take the whole family, featuring Petzooie. Basketball, tennis, sand volleyball, and soccer lovers can enjoy the facilities, which all have ample lighting for play long after the sun sets. Bring Petzooie to Kierland Commons in Scottsdale, Arizona for a day of shopping. It is an outdoor mall, but there are enormous awnings and trees to provide shade, as well as water misters stationed along the pathways, to provide relief from the heat. There is lots of parking at this shopping mall, and you can pick between self-parking and valet service. There are numerous shops in various price levels, as well as a selection of chain and independent eateries. Individual stores and restaurants determine whether or not dogs are permitted inside, and dogs must be leashed at all times.
