Golden Gate Heights Park

Grandview Park is a favorite of locals and visitors alike, featuring spectacular vistas, a modest network of pathways, and a dune plant community. The majority of the ascent is made up of wooden stairs, with a brief soft-soil track around the summit of the hill. Please keep on the trail at all times because the dune community is highly vulnerable. At all times, dogs must be leashed.

The more than five miles of trails at Mount Sutro Open Space Reserve, which is next to UCSF's Parnassus campus, are open to leashed dogs. The reserve is home to a 100-year-old forest as well as a diverse range of birds and other species. The area has no public parking, so visitors must park on Clarendon Avenue near Johnstone Drive and walk along Johnstone Drive past the Aldea Center to reach the trailhead. Keep

A big grassy off-leash park for dogs is located adjacent to Pine Lake.

This open, unfenced field is a lovely spot for your dog to play off-leash while taking in some of the city's best views.
