Alamo Square Park

Allow your pet to run about freely in this huge, green park, but keep in mind that the area is not fenced.

In San Francisco's Haight Ashbury neighborhood, Buena Vista Park has an off-leash area for man's best friend. Enjoy the picturesque views from the top of the hill with your dog on a morning or afternoon run.

On the west side of Jefferson Square Park, there is a permitted off-leash area. Jefferson Square Park is a popular park for inhabitants in the Western Addition neighborhood. It's a grassy park with a gentle incline.

Off-leash dog park in the Corona Heights area of San Francisco, near to the Field Museum. Climbing the hill here will give you lots of workout, and the views are spectacular.

Non-service animals are not permitted to ride the MUNI during the hours of 5-9 a.m. and 3-7 p.m. on weekdays. Each railway car is allowed one crated or muzzled/leashed dog during approved hours. The non-service pet must be charged the same amount as the passenger.

The Alta Plaza Off-Leash Plaza is a safe haven for both children and dogs. It is close to schools and offers tennis courts and a basketball hoop. Paint on the paths clearly demarcates the off-leash area. When dogs are not in this area, they must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times.
