On the Elizabeth River, restored wetlands featuring nature and fitness trails, a kayak launch, and a picnic area.
2. Spock Memorial Dog Park
The first and only off-leash dog park in the city is named after a Pike County K-9 officer who was murdered in the line of duty in 1994. Dunne previously stated that naming the park after a fallen cop made a lot of sense once the choice was made to situate it near to the city police station.
3. Leary Field
Leary Field is a baseball facility located next to the South Playground in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. There are local American Legion teams who compete there. The Seacoast Mavericks, a Futures Collegiate Baseball League summer team, played there intermittently in 2012 and consistently from 2013 to 2017.

Goodwin Park is on the southeast side of Islington Street, east of Cabot Street, and across from the Islington Street intersections of Cornwall and Rockingham Streets.

Entering and exiting the area, dogs must be leashed. Dogs must be properly licensed and vaccinated. Dogs weighing more than 30 pounds are not permitted in small-dog areas.

Dogs of all sizes can play together in a fenced-in, double-gated enclosure at South Mill Pond. There is also an unfenced off-leash area that runs along the west side of the pond.
