At Davidsonville Historic State Park, you and Petzooie can not only spend the day fishing, but you can also enjoy four hiking paths, one of which travels through the historic town site. Just remember to keep your dog on a leash at all times.

Dogs are welcome on the grounds of Powhatan Historic State Park, but they are not permitted within the structures. You can go around the outer grounds of the five ancient buildings with your leashed dog. While you're in the region, you may visit Lake Charles and Davidsonville State Parks, both of which are within 15 miles of Powhatan Historic State Park.

This park, located on the banks of Lake Charles in the Ozark Mountains, provides you and your dog with plenty of fishing and hiking activities. It's a tranquil spot set on a 645-acre lake with bass, crappie, bream, and catfish. In fact, it's the spot in Northeast Arkansas where the most 20-inch bass have been caught. From March through October, the visitor center sells a complete line of bait and tackle. With four hiking trails, the park is also a great place to visit in the fall and winter. Simply keep Petzooie leashed at all times.

Crowley's Ridge State Park has a fishing lake and various pathways for you and your dog to explore. Just make sure Petzooie is always on a leash.

A barrier-free fishing pier, bathrooms, pathways, and the beauty of the wild dogwoods are just a few of the attractions of Lake Frierson State Park for you and your dog to enjoy. Simply keep Petzooie leashed at all times. This park, which is located on the shores of the 335-acre Lake Frierson, is a great spot to unwind and enjoy year-round fishing for bream, catfish, crappie, saugeye, and bass.

Mammoth Spring is a National Natural Landmark and one of the world's largest springs, with nine million gallons of water pouring every hour. It produces a 10-acre lake before flowing south as the Spring River, a popular trout and float stream in the Ozarks. The history of Mammoth Spring includes the ruins of a mill and a hydropower station. A playground, picnic area, baseball field, walking route, Arkansas Welcome Center, and gift store are also available. At all times, dogs must be leashed.
