Dobbins Lookout & Holbert Trail at South Mountain Park

Take your dog to Dobbins Lookout to get a bird's eye view of Phoenix. This viewing point is located at a height of 2,330 feet above Phoenix Valley, and it is only a fifteen-minute drive from downtown Phoenix. You can either drive to the top or trek the three-mile Holbert Trail, which is challenging. Try going at sunset, when the sun's light reflects off the rocks, turning them vivid crimson. If you're going hiking, make sure you have plenty of water for both you and Petzooie. At Dobbins Lookout, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
