The Palm Springs Dog Park is a 1.6-acre fenced-in rolling grass park with fire hydrants, dual-purpose canine/human water fountains, recycled picnic tables and seats, solar lights, and shade structures located behind City Hall in Palm Springs, California. Dogs are allowed to run and play without being restrained by a leash. For tiny dogs, there is a separate play area.

Leashed dogs are welcome to accompany you to Moorten Botanical Garden in Palm Springs, CA, which opened in 1938 and has several unusual cactus. Crystals, colorful rocks, ancient fossils, pioneer and gold mining relics, and cactus ranging in size from miniature to huge are also on display.

The Dog Park includes 1.6 acres of fenced-in undulating grass with fire hydrants, canine and human drinking faucets, picnic tables, and seats.

Rancho Mirage Dog Park is a 4.5-acre dog park featuring distinct off-leash zones for large and small dogs in Rancho Mirage, California. There are also shady spots with sitting. This dog-friendly park is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.

Dog-friendly trails can be found at Humber Park in Idyllwild, California. The trailhead has paved parking and vault toilets. A National Parks Pass or an Adventure Pass is required. While hiking in this region, make sure Petzooie is leashed. Please note that dogs are not permitted in the State Park Wilderness; boundaries can be found on their website.

The 6-mile Tahquitz Peak Fire Lookout trek is tough, but dog-friendly, and will take Petzooie around 4 hours to finish. This trail to Tahquitz Peak is less traveled and more dog-friendly than the other. Because this route passes through the San Jacinto Wilderness, leash regulations apply. Depending on where you start your hike, you'll need a wilderness ticket or an Adventure Pass.
