The North Pole Dog Park is a combination of two dog parks. A large gated area near to 3rd Avenue is open to all dogs, while a smaller walled area at the park's back is for smaller dogs who are not comfortable among large dogs. Waste collection facilities and picnic tables for dog owners are included at the dog park to maintain it tidy.

At state parks and campgrounds, pets must be leashed and accompanied by their owners at all times; unleashed dogs are permitted in the wilderness but must be under voice direction. If you have a pet, please clean up after it. Within 100 feet of a cabin, sled dogs and horses should not be tied. Highway passengers and weekend campers from Fairbanks frequent the Upper Chatanika State Recreation Site, which is located at mile 39 on the Steese Highway. There are 24 campsites, four picnic areas, drinking water, and latrines on the property.A gravel bar is accessible through a road where people can camp, eat, sunbathe, or fish. Beaver Creek Wild and Scenic River in Alaska is a beautiful dog-friendly site. The White Mountains, made up of white limestone rock formations, swoop down on both sides of Beaver Creek. Hike atop the mountains or explore one of the routes that lead closer to the brook. To get to the river, all you have to do is hike a limestone ridge and try not to catch your breath while you take in the breathtaking scenery. Camping is available at one of the many gravel bars along the river, and if Fido is up to it, you can join one of the river's floating groups.
