The Mile-Around Woods in North Bennington, Vermont, is a public natural area with paths.

You do so at your own risk. Never leave your dog alone. Always keep your dog under control. Take care of your dog's waste. Dogs that are aggressive or in heat are not permitted. A current dog license and rabies tag are required for all dogs. Food, alcohol, and glass containers are not permitted. No dogs under the age of four months, in heat, or in poor health are allowed. Clean up and dispose of dog feces right away. Please leash and remove your dog from the park at the first sign of aggression. Always keep your dog in sight and under reasonable control. A maximum of two dogs per owner should always be leashed. Bring your dog to and from the park on a leash. As you enter, close the dog gates behind you.

Parks for Paws has opened a dog park off of Boardman Hill Road in the West Rutland Recreation area. It is open from dawn until dusk.

This big woodland park with spectacular vistas has numerous hiking and mountain-biking trails.

Baxter Street Park features a Play Structure, Swings, and a Sheltered Picnic Table. With the help of volunteers, Baxter Street Park was completed in July 2016.
