Mill Creek Dog Park

Near Indian Creek Greenway is Dog Spot in Creekwood Park. Huntsville has a number of off-leash doggy play facilities known as "Dog Spots." Each is about the size of two football fields and was built with dog safety in mind, including a separate play area for dogs under 25 pounds. Unless otherwise noted, Dog Spots are open to dogs and their owners during standard park hours, which are from sunrise to one hour after dusk.

Pets are welcome at Academy Sports Outdoors. This sports goods store, which sells athletic apparel and footwear as well as outdoor gear and fitness equipment, welcomes dogs. Monday through Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Academy Sports Outdoors is open.

Pets are welcome on Campus No. 805. This southern brewery welcomes dogs. Thousands of students, teachers, parents, and administrators who were formerly a part of this campus, which is now a brewery and event space, are remembered by the name.

Pets are welcome at Salty Nut Brewery. This craft brewer offers a variety of delectable beers to both locals and visitors. Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Salty Nut Brewery is open.

Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment is America's largest privately owned arts center, and your dog is allowed to participate in the fun. This massive historic manufacturing building has been transformed into 148 working studios for over 200 artists and craftsmen, six galleries, a theater, and performance venues, all with a concentration on visual arts. While wandering, you'll come across specialty food and beverages ranging from ice pops to vegan fare from a passing food truck. A vintage clothes store, a record store, and a flea market are also open every Saturday. Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment is open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Thursday, Friday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Pets are welcome at Liquor Express and Craft Beer. At this artisan beer emporium, dogs are welcome to accompany their owners. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 12 a.m., Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Liquor Express and Craft Beer is open.
