Rain or shine, health-conscious people can be found walking, jogging, or biking the 3.5 miles of trails that snake through rhododendron gardens, past various species of trees and flowers in bloom, and past the lake's two stunning fountains.

vThis three-acre off-leash dog park in Longview, located at Gerhart Gardens Park, has separate gated sections for little and large dogs to play. Friends of Off Leash Areas (FOLA) supports the park, which is jointly maintained by FOLA and the City of Longview. There is a covered shelter, benches, and water.

Two dog parks can be found on Paul Boorman Trail. One is next to the parking lot and has a small and huge part. If you keep walking on the route, you'll come across another area for dogs to play that is shaded by several trees. Dog owners are encouraged to pick up after their pets while they play in the gated areas. The parks are open from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day of the week.
